Fun and supportive weight management course designed to help you achieve and maintain a healthier weight.
About the course:
Our course has been designed by leading professionals in the field of nutrition, dietetics, psychology, physiology and physical activity. It is proven to be effective in aiding weight management in a safe and sustainable way.
We provide two programmes under the Manage Your Weight offering.
- Weight Management and Behaviour Change Programme via self referral or health professional referral. You will first have a 1:1 initial interview over the phone and then 12 online or face-to-face group sessions. This programme arms you with the tools to lose weight and keep it off.
Did you know, according to the NHS, evidence shows that people who combine physical activity with healthy eating are more successful at losing weight and keeping it off.
So, why not boost your chances of success by joining one of our physical activity programmes at the same time! We have Move More indoor exercise classes, walking groups, online physical activity and more.
You can sign up to either programme in the same way; by registering for the Manage Your Weight programme.
After you register, our team can first check eligibility criteria before booking you on either programme.
There are many reasons that you may wish to reduce your weight, perhaps you want to improve your health or reduce the effects of obesity-related conditions, but whatever your motivation is, our FREE course will help you to achieve and maintain a healthy weight.
Who is our programme suitable for?
Our Weight Management service is suitable for anybody that lives in Cheshire East, has a Body Mass Index (BMI) that is outside of a healthy range and is looking to lose weight.
This programme dives into the habits and behaviours which determine your health and weight, unpicking what triggers your habits.
It's very easy to tell people to eat less and move more but it's a lot harder to do, as it can be easy to fall back on our habits, this is exactly what the weight management programme aims to change.
To access the One You Cheshire East weight management course, your BMI must be 25 or higher or 23.5 if you are from the BME community. Use the calculator below to check your BMI:
