EXI logo

EXI APP

As part of our service we are offering Cheshire East residents a medically proven, physical activity app, EXI, with no additional cost to you! The EXI app provides users with a personal exercise prescription designed to gradually build movement at a reasonable pace.

The app is for people whose sedentary lifestyle makes them vulnerable to developing long-term health conditions, as well as clinically diagnosed people living with one or more of 23 chronic conditions.

When you sign up, you will be asked a few simple questions about your health and lifestyle, before being prescribed daily activities that can be done at home, outdoors, or at the gym, depending on your preference and ability.

You can then choose from a range of videos to guide you through each suggested daily physical activity.

By accessing the app through One You Cheshire East, you’ll not only get free personalised physical activity prescriptions, but the expert support of one of our certified Health & Wellbeing Coaches.

Walking Groups

Our Health & Wellbeing Coaches are looking forward to taking you out on guided walks around Cheshire East!

Our walks are in large open space areas with flat ground. We have two different types of walks available ranging from 45 minutes to 75 minutes. Your Health & Wellbeing Coach will help you decide which one to try at the start.

The walks are held all around Cheshire East and are a great way to meet new people in your local area whilst getting active.

Beginner walks – Suitable for people who have not walked much before, are looking to be more active, or are returning from injury or illness and may require walking aids. They are between 30-45 minutes on flat ground or gentle slopes with mainly firm surfaces and no steps or stiles.

Intermediate walks – Suitable for people who are looking to increase their activity levels. They are between 45 – 75 minutes and may include some moderate slopes, steps and uneven surfaces.
